ACT Test Prep Services

ACT/SAT Test Prep - Math

Location: Centenary College, Shreveport, LA

Schedule: Choose from one of the following courses

  • Saturday, September 2nd, 1pm-5pm
  • Wednesdays, September 20th-October 25th, 4:30pm-5:30pm
  • Wednesdays, October 25th-December 6th, 6pm-7pm
Description:  Students will review test taking strategies, problem solving techniques, and receive valuable information/ resources to help prepare for the exam. Students must bring a calculator and pencils to class. 

Engineering Design Challenge

Engineering Design Challenge

Location: Panola, College, Carthage, TX

Schedule: Saturday, September 16th, 9am-3pm

DescriptionThis is a one day workshop where children ages 8-14 will gain exposure to the world of engineering through competitive hands-on design projects. Have fun while competing on teams, exercise problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills. Students will be grouped according to age, level, and ability. No experience necessary.

Competitive Robotics Team

Competitive Robotics Team 

  • Location: Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA 
  • Schedule: Saturdays, September 23rd - November 4th, 10am-12pm
  • Description: Robotics club is for children in grades 4-8 who have an interest in computers, technology, engineering, math, or science. Students will have fun learning to program, build, and operate robots as preparation for local competitions.

Description: Attention future scientists and engineers! Young Scholars is hosting a series of STEM badge workshops that are designed to be fun and educational. Students will explore STEM through hands-on activities, group projects, demonstrations, and more.   • Schedule:  Thursdays, October 5th - November 9th, 4:30pm-5:30pm
  • DescriptionEngineering Design Challenge  is the perfect solution for inquisitive young minds. Children ages 8-14 will gain exposure to the world of engineering through competitive hands-on design projects while competing on teams, exercise problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills.  No experience necessary. 


High School Math Review Course

ACT/SAT Math Blast

  • Location: University of Louisiana, Monroe, LA 
  • Schedule: Saturday, November 11th, 10am-3pm
  • Description: This fast paced course will prepare students for college entrance math exams by reviewing math theory, problem solving techniques, test taking strategies, etc. Subjects will include pre-algebra, algebra I & II, geometry, and intro to trigonometry. This course has demonstrated success improving academic performance and has increased test scores by as much as 7 ACT points.  Students must bring a notebook, pencil, and calculator to class.

Alegra I & II Academic Support

Fundamentals of Algebra

  • Location: Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA
  • Schedule: Saturday, November 18th, 9am-3pm
  • Description:   This course reviews pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II concepts.  This course was designed to benefit students preparing for the ACT, SAT, EOC core Praxis exams.  Students will review math theory, practice solving problems, and complete timed practice tests to reinforce materials.  Students must bring a notebook, pencil, and calculator to class.
